What Deck is

Deck is an app for macOS and Windows that organizes work with coding agents in the terminal. It opens sessions, puts each task in a folder and a branch of its own, shows the diff next to the terminal, and keeps track of tasks and pull requests.

Deck is built and maintained by Maze Analytics, a data consultancy based in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil. In these terms, Maze Analytics is the party that provides the app and you are the party that uses it.

Use of Deck is also subject to the Privacy policy, which explains what data exists and where it goes.

Your account

Using Deck requires an account, created with an email address and a password or with your Google account. To create the account you must have the legal capacity to accept these terms, give truthful information and keep the email address current.

• The password is on you. Use a password of at least 12 characters, one that works for nothing else, and do not share your access.
• The account is personal and non-transferable. An account stands for one person, not for a team and not for a job title.
• Suspicious access. If you suspect that someone got into your account, change the password, use the option that ends every session, and tell us.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to attack the service, or that the law requires us to close. When the call is ours, we give notice first at the email address on the account.

The license to use

Deck is licensed, not sold. As long as you comply with these terms, Maze Analytics grants you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the app on the computers you work on, including for paid work of your own or of the company you work for.

The code, the name, the icon, the interface and the documentation of Deck remain the property of Maze Analytics. Nothing in these terms transfers intellectual property to the person who uses it.

Deck is free today. If a paid version ever arrives, everyone already using the app is told in advance and still gets to decide whether to carry on.

What is not allowed

• Reselling, renting, sublicensing or redistributing Deck, in whole or in part.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling or extracting the code for any purpose other than running the app, except where the law grants that right.
• Removing or changing license, trademark or authorship notices.
• Using Deck, or what you learn from it, to build a competing product.
• Getting around technical limits, attacking the infrastructure of the account service, or trying to reach data that belongs to other people.
• Using Deck for illegal activity, to violate the rights of third parties, or to produce code you have no authorization to produce.

Agents and connections

Deck does not supply the agents. Each terminal agent runs under an account of your own, under the terms and the privacy policy of whoever offers it. The same holds for the connections you turn on, such as ClickUp and GitHub.

• The cost is yours. Subscriptions, credits and agent usage are billed to you by each provider. Maze Analytics does not sit in the middle of those payments.
• Their rules apply. Meeting the terms of each provider is the responsibility of whoever holds the account.
• Availability. If a provider changes, limits or shuts down its service, that affects what Deck can do and is outside our control.

Your code is yours

Maze Analytics claims no right over the projects, files, prompts or output that pass through Deck. The app works on the files that sit on your computer and in the accounts you connected.

The content of your conversations with the agents is not sent to Maze Analytics. What the app records and what leaves your computer is described in the Privacy policy.

The review is yours

Deck runs commands on your computer and opens agents that write, change and delete files, create branches and can publish changes. That is the product working as intended.

So the checking is yours: read the diff before you accept it, keep backups and version control, and use isolated sessions in a worktree when the work touches something sensitive. Do not use Deck in an environment where a wrong change cannot be undone.

Versions and changes

Deck is updated often. Features can be added, changed or taken out, and a new version can change behavior you were counting on. When a version ships, the notice shows up inside the app and updating is your call.

These terms can change too. The date at the top of the page says which version is in force. If the change matters, we tell you inside the app or at the account email before it takes effect. Carrying on with Deck after that means you accept the new version.

Warranties and liability

Deck is provided as is. We do not warrant that it runs without interruption, that it is free of defects, that it works with every environment, or that what the agents produce is fit for any particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by Brazilian law, Maze Analytics is not liable for lost profits, loss of data, loss of code, work stoppage or indirect damages arising from the use of Deck or from the inability to use it. Nothing here sets aside the liabilities that the law does not allow to be set aside, nor the rights you hold as a consumer.

Termination

You can stop whenever you want: uninstall the app and, if you want the account deleted, ask at the contact email address. In Settings, Deck also undoes what it added to your environment, such as the hooks it registered in Claude Code.

The license to use ends automatically if these terms are broken. Once the license ends, use of the app has to stop. The parts about intellectual property, warranties and liability stay in force after the end.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the district of Blumenau, Santa Catarina, are chosen to settle any matter that is not settled by agreement, without prejudice to the right of a consumer to sue in the courts of their own domicile.
